Students of Independence High School were greeted to the new year by a large fence that surrounds all of senior stage, and the parts of the quad. So far many students feel the fence is a nuisance, impeding their daily routes getting to class. ​

In order to get a ticket you must do a creative work using the resources provided to you. They will only be provided if you place your name, student ID, and email on a signup sheet which can be found from Ms. Edward’s at class C-409 .

GoFundMe for Charlie Heiting

Charlie Heiting, a Junior that attended Independence High School in 2017-2018, passed away unexpectedly this January.
The family has put up a GoFundMe for helping the family with the costs, and any help is appreciated. 
"This loss has been so unexpected and painful," said Belia Heiting Cottrell, "Please consider donating to help with costs for the family as they deal with this most tragic situation."
There will be a memorial for Charlie Heiting in front of the theater this Thursday, January 31st at 3:30 to 4:30 pm. It will be a candlelit moment of silence, and people are encouraged to wear pink.
